My lay-flat luxury album comes with complementary design services!

The process of printing our photos can feel so overwhelming that we’re likely to not do it at all, which is kind of heartbreaking. I mean, if you don’t print it, did it even happen? Yes, I’ll occasionally (very, very occasionally) scroll through old photos on my phone but it’s not the same as having something tangible and tactile that our family can revisit together as often as we want. Photos spark conversations, boost self-confidence, remind us what we love about the hard work of parenting, and add to our “daily sources of happiness” (a client said that to me once and it’s now my favorite phrase ever spoken about printed images).

A super-cute way to hang loose prints

One of the obstacles to printing our images is that there are so many choices, both with regard to how to display our images AND which photo labs to work with. Well, you have no excuses any more because I’ve put in the time to research just that! As a family photographer in Bexley, Ohio, my top goal when serving my clients is to make their lives easier: before, during and after each session. All of my photography packages include substantial print credit that can be used in my online store, which is accessible directly from your photo gallery.

Wondering what you’ll find in the store? I’ll go into details below, but I want to preface it with this: I have samples of ALL of my items, so I’m able to vouch for their quality and beauty (and I’m happy to bring them along so you can view them in person). Items in the store cost anywhere from $50-$1000, so you can stay within your allotted budget. I offer complementary design services for all albums and multi-opening frames, so you don’t have to put in additional time learning album software and getting decision fatigue (it’s real, y’all).

My top package includes enough print credit for a luxury, lay-flat album - it’s my favorite product of all time!

So here it is, my favorite ways to get your photos out from behind screens and into your home:

Photo albums

They’re books - kids LOVE books, and they’ll treasure an opportunity to pour over old photo albums with you when they’re young and old. I still ask my mom if we can look at old photo albums together at least annually. It’s an active way to relive your favorite moments, and by that I mean you have to actually sit down with the intention of spending time looking at your images.

The photo album I offer in my store is highly customizable: choose from a linen or velvet cover in a variety of colors, as well as personalized embossing. It’s a sturdy, lay-flat board book that uses high-quality photographic papers and ink that result in true-to-life images. I also offer a “mini” 6x6 pocket version of this album, which makes an affordable and adorable gift for grandparents ;)

Frames

A classic way to display your images. I have two types of frames in the gallery, standard and luxury, so that you can stay within your allotted budget. Both options include photos printed on fine art matte paper (the luxury frame offers a “deckled” option as well, which is a textured paper with bright whites, gorgeous colors and delicately torn edges that give it a nostalgic feel), framed by a 2” mat and a hardwood frame (choose from a variety of colors).

Prints

By far the most popular item in the store, I offer fine art prints ranging from 5x7 to 24x30. These prints have the MOST gorgeous colors and clear, crisp imagery. They are printed on a sturdy paper that is thin enough to be framed, but thick enough to sit on a shelf or hang from a clip unframed.

Hanging wood blocks

These are such a beautiful and unique way to display your images. Choose from 2-3 5x7 images, which are printed on matte photo paper (choose from color or bw) and glued to wooden blocks, distressed, and then hung with twine. I would absolutely create a newborn gallery wall with these, and flank a large framed portrait with two of them, or use them as an accent piece in an eclectic arrangement of frames and artwork.

Velvet photo box

This gorgeous, velvet covered box comes with personalized embossing and your choice of a 1.5” or 3” depth for holding all of your favorite loose prints (up to 5x7). It stays closed using a magnet, so you can sit it upright on a bookshelf or alongside your other photo albums. Perfect for the person who loves to hold each image close or has a lot of randomly-sized images that need to be stored in a safe place.
